Ashwood High School - Library

A continuous wall of bespoke joinery sweeps around the back walls to create a backdrop for the activities that take place in the space. The joinery contains a library counter, bookshelves, and study benches. A curving bulkhead over the library counter creates a dramatic focus for the room and puts the librarian at the centre. The Tasmanian Oak imbues a natural Australian timber appearance appropriate for the native woodland site of the school and lends warmth to the space.
