What began as a mission to support individuals and families experiencing breast cancer has now expanded to provide care for all cancers. At polytec, we are proud to stand alongside the McGrath Foundation in this journey, helping to ensure that no one in Australia faces cancer without the support of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse.
Our Partnership Since 2018
polytec first partnered with the McGrath Foundation in 2018 after searching for a charity partner that makes a direct and meaningful difference in people’s lives. As a proudly family Australian owned brand, we have always been passionate about giving back to the community.
Through the generosity of our team, customers, and valued business sponsors, polytec has hosted and supported numerous fundraising initiatives – from morning teas and information nights, to charity runs and race days. We also integrate support into our everyday business that encourage customers to contribute.
Since 2018, these efforts have raised an incredible $673,011.04 to date – funds that have gone directly toward placing McGrath Cancer Care Nurses in communities across Australia.
McGrath Cancer Care Nurses provide free physical, psychological, and emotional support to individuals and their families, guiding them through the challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and beyond. With around 1 in 2 Australians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, the need for this support has never been greater.
