Design Show Australia 2025: A Celebration of Design, Innovation & Industry

Design Show Australia 2025: A Celebration of Design, Innovation & Industry
The Design Show Australia 2025 brought together over 250 leading exhibitors and offered no shortage of innovation, creativity, and forward thinking. Yet for many, the polytec stand became a true destination where new products, purposeful design, and meaningful connection converged.

Curated with intention, built with precision, our stand was an immersive environment that sparked conversations, inspired future projects, and reaffirmed the strength of our relationships across the design and construction industries.

A Showcase of Australian Innovation

Across three inspiring days, we were proud to welcome thousands of architects, designers, cabinetmakers, builders, fabricators, and specifiers – each one eager to explore our new releases

The polytec stand was a constant hub of creativity, connection, and conversation. Our team was energised by the opportunity to engage in thoughtful dialogue with the people who shape our industry – both long-time customers and new contacts.

Our stand was crafted entirely from Manor Oak Woodmatt, exuding warmth and confidence, creating an inviting backdrop that drew visitors in and encouraged exploration. This richly textured, mid brown-beige woodgrain created the perfect backdrop to showcase what’s new, what’s next, and what’s uniquely polytec.

What’s New

We showcased several highly anticipated product releases at the Design Show 2025. Attendees had the chance to explore and interact with:

The Boston Oak Collection – 12 colours, one signature finish, across four product ranges. Designed for harmony, flexibility, and ultimate mix-and-match aesthetics.

Xenolith – Elevating benchtop solutions with expanded thicknesses, this solid-core laminate is the ultimate product for a long lasting, high quality, low maintenance design solution.

Horizon drawer fronts – A three-piece construction with a glass insert and a frameless top edge, creating a unique and stylish design.

• New benchtop colours – Our latest additions elevate surface design across residential and commercial spaces.

• Thermolaminated profile additions – Featuring new profiles that deliver both durability and stylistic consistency, our updated range captured strong attention.

Easycraft Contours timber linings – Making their official debut, these new timber lining boards captured lots of attention.

Sustainability Booklet – Our updated booklet provided a transparent look into our environmental commitments – resonating strongly with designers focused on sustainable solutions.

What’s Next

The energy on the show floor was electric – and the polytec stand reflected the optimism and momentum of the industry. But while products were the drawcard, it was the people who made it exceptional.

We loved reconnecting with long-time partners, meeting new faces, and hearing first-hand how polytec products are being specified and built into Australia’s most exciting projects. We also had forward-focused conversations about the challenges and opportunities ahead – from sustainability and design flexibility to local manufacturing and industry growth.

As a proudly Australian made and family-owned company, polytec continues to lead with clarity and conviction. Our role is not just to innovate, but to help our customers navigate what’s next – with smart, sustainable, and beautifully resolved solutions.

Thank You for Being Part of It

The Design Show 2025 reminded us why we do what we do. Being surrounded by such a passionate, talented, and collaborative community is both humbling and inspiring. To everyone who stopped by the stand, picked up a trendjournal or simply shared a moment with our team – thank you.

And to the organisers and our fellow exhibitors – what an incredible event. We’re proud to stand alongside you in celebrating the best of Australian design.

We look forward to continuing the conversation – and to building what’s next, together.
